Charity is Goal of 10th Annual Mayor's Ball

The event is scheduled for March 26 at SSM St. Clare Health Center.

Dinner, laughter and fundraising will be the order of the evening as the Fenton Community Charitable Association (FCCA) holds its annual Mayor’s Charity Ball at the SSM St. Clare Health Center on March 26.

Event chairman Ginny Goede, one of the organizers of the affair, is excited about this year's event since it marks the 10th year of raising money for local charities. This year's charity recipients are Angels’ Arms and Sunnyhill Adventures.

The FCCA was founded to showcase “Fenton … a city that cares." More than $550,000 has been raised and donated to charity since the organization was founded in 2001.

In addition to a gourmet dinner, attendees will be treated to live entertainment, headlined by comedian Tom Foss, who is known for his extensive travel to entertain U.S. troops.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with appetizers, wine and cheese tasting and a guest chef to share the fine arts of cooking. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the entertainment. After the laughter subsides, there will be more wine tasting and dessert. There also will be silent and oral auctions during the event.
