Celebrate Halloween with Fall Events in St. Louis

Looking to celebrate fall and the upcoming Halloween holiday? You could head to one of the haunted houses in the St. Louis area or find something more suited to the younger crowd.

Oct. 1-14

  • Pumpkin & Mum Fundraiser — Brentwood Cub Scout Pack 656, Brentwood Girl Scouts Troop 801 and The Franklin Group Flower Wholesaler are teaming up for a fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 6. The scouts will be selling pumpkins, mums and homemade baked goods from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 8935 Manchester Road.
  • Halloween Pub Crawl — Halloween Pub Crawl to benefit Living Well Foundation. Meet at The Wood in Maplewood at 1 p.m. There will be one free beer/soda at each location. Additional drinks and appetizer specials will be available at each location. The cost is $25. Call (636) 674-5014 or email allison@livingwellvillage.org to register.
  • Tour De Halloween — 9 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Weldon Spring Trailhead on the Katy Trail. Don a costume, bring your bike and ride to Defiance. Trick or treat at businesses and wineries. Ride on to Augusta for activities at Augusta Brewing Company.  

Oct. 15-21

  • St. Lou Fringe Zombie Prom — St. Lou Fringe invites you to the Zombie Prom, A Night to Dismember. The night of retro mayhem will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at the Grand Hall in the Grandel Theatre in Grand Center. This is an 18 and older event. 
  • Spirits from the Past — 6 p.m. Oct. 20, Historic Daniel Boone Home. Travel to the early 1800s and experience how superstition led to strange rituals and beliefs. A glow of lanterns light the way for guests who tour the home and village. Recommended for children ages 7 and older. Cost is $10 adults and $6 for children. Learn more here.
  • Imperial Safe Halloween Celebration — Rock Presbyterian church in Imperial is holding its annual safe halloween celebration from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 20. There will be free hot dogs, drinks, face painting, a K-9 unit, fishing games, ring toss. Kids can come in costume.

  • SPOOKtacular at Memorial Park & Mid-County YMCA — Join the Brentwood Parks & Recreation Department and the Mid-County YMCA for a Spooktacular night this fall! There will be indoor and outdoor activities to keep little goblins busy having spooktacular fun. There will be a costume contest. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 26 and the cost is $15 per family.
  •  — Join The Ritz-Carlton at 11 a.m.  Saturday, Oct. 27 for a special "Goblin Tea," featuring spooktacular treats such as Sand "Witches," Deviled Egg Salad, Pallbearers PB&J, Hair Raising Ham & Cheese, Gruesome Green Tea Panna Cotta, Dark Chocolate Frankenstein Mousse Cup, Scared Stiff Strawberry Cake, Spider Cookies, Mummy Cupcakes, Assorted Seasonal Candy and Creepy Finger Cookies.   • Pumpkin Carve & Glow at the Moonrise Hotel — Halloween is a’ coming! Exercise your pumpkin carving skills at the 4th Annual Great Pumpkin Carve & Glow on Saturday, Oct. 27. The Moonrise Hotel and Eclipse Restaurant invite people of all ages to join the free pumpkin carving festivities from 3-6:30 p.m. in the Moonrise Hotel courtyard at 6177 Delmar in The Loop. At 6 p.m., all pumpkins will be displayed for the official lighting and judging of pumpkins. 
  • Trunk-or-Treat — Come and join Fellowship First Baptist Church of High Ridge for its annual Trunk-or-Treat. The event will be on the front parking lot of the church and it is completely free. Festivities begin at dusk.
  • Trick or Treat on Main Street — 3-5 p.m. Oct. 31, Main Street St. Charles. Costumed children ages 12 and younger can trick or treat at businesses on Main Street. 

Ongoing Events

  • Farm Fun Fair — Admission to Stuckmeyer's Farm and Market Farm Fun Days, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekend, is free. The farm also features hayrides through the farm, pony rides, kid's barrel rides, farm animals and live music.
  • Pick Your Own Pumpkin — Head out to Eckert's Farms in Belleville, Millstadt or Grafton, IL. For the most up-to-date pick-your-own crop information, check Eckert’s Harvest Hotline.
