Rockwood Summit Music Students Want You Behind the Wheel

Music students from Rockwood Summit High School need your help to raise $6000 for their marching band and choir programs. All they want is a little of your time.

On Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunset Ford will have an assortment of new Ford vehicles on the RSHS parking lot for a Drive 4 UR School fundraiser. The cars, from Fusions to Focuses, will be available for licensed drivers over the age of 18 to take for a spin.

Ford will donate $20 to the music programs for each test drive taken, up to $6000. There is a limit of one test drive per household, though friends may share a drive and still count as two! Children are not allowed in the test cars for insurance purposes.

As a special thank you, test drivers will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a hot air balloon ride or a $100 gas card with 10 free car washes from RainX. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.

DC’s Smokin’ BBQ will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with award winning barbeque. Proceeds for food sales will benefit the marching band.

Drive 4 UR School is a community outreach program sponsored by Ford. There is no high pressured sales pitch or obligation to buy. The fundraiser will help students in Summit’s marching band and choir programs attend out-of-state competitions.
