Free LEGOS for the Kiddos

Did you know that the LEGO store at West County mall gives out free LEGOS? Ok, I'll admit the kits they give out are pretty small...but they are super cute, one of a kind kits that you can NOT buy. And they’re free. You can’t beat that.

Mitch and I checked out a recent free LEGO event at West County mall in July. They were giving away a free crab kit to the first 500 kids who lined up. We got to the store at an hour early (the event started at 5pm) and still didn’t make the front of the line. But, my buddy took our kids to the food court for ice cream and the LEGO employees worked the line to make sure everyone was happy. They handed out catalogs and did a few give aways. A guy from Chick-fil-A also wandered by with coupons for free fries.

Once the event started kids were allowed into the store in groups where staff helped them assemble the kits. Since the kits were small things went pretty quickly.

Your next shoot at free LEGOs is on July 30 at 5pm. Kids can make a BBQ grill for their LEGO minifigs. (This event is not listed on the official calender, but I got it straight from the West County store manager.)

On Aug. 1 at 5pm we’ll get our first LEGO Friends give away! This one is for the girls–they will make a pink and purple jewelry box. (Or your boy could make it as a gift for mom? Hmmm.) They have a limit of 250 kits per store (one per child 6 to 14).

On Aug 6 at 5pm kids can make a pink flamingo. This one is limited to 250 kits per store (one per child 6 to 14).
