6 Weird Things: Lego Trash Fire, Samurai Bosoms and Vampire Cakes

I've been collecting photos of odd ball things I'm finding at the store. Let's discuss.

Sometimes I find items on the store shelf that leaves me scratching my head. Now that I'm blogging, I'm more likely to whip out my camera phone and snap a quick pic to share with my readers. Remember that time I was shocked to find X-rated Valentine merchandise next to kid Valentines at Walmart? Nothing I found on this trip was quite that bad, but the busty Samurai action figure was pretty close.

Maybe you can help me sort out the follow six items I found at Walmart, Walgreens and Cash Saver on recent shopping trips.

  • Have you seen the signs on Walmart's door lately? Now there's sign reminding us to not leave our kids in the car. Is this really necessary? Wait. Don’t answer that.
  • I found cakes adorned with sparkly vampires on the day the last Twilight DVD was released. Sadly, some of these cakes were RESERVED. Who celebrates a DVD release with a cake?
  • At Walmart's toy aisle my middle schooler and I had a good chuckle over a toy we found depicting a Lego firefighter putting out a dumpster with plastic flames shooting out of it. We dubbed it the Lego Rockwood South Trash Fire Action Set.
  • Over at Cash Saver I picked up some butter and noticed that it was proudly marked "gluten free." Just where do people think butter is coming from if they're worried about gluten in it?
  • Yesterday I found out that Prairie Farms has cornered the market on “fresh” half and half. The cheap stuff I was going to buy must be…stale?
  • Over at the Walgreens toy aisle I found a Power Rangers villian action figure. I’m not sure what surprised me more, that kids are still watching Power Rangers or that Samurai witches have the power of gigantic bosoms. You could put an eye out with those things!
