The 1st Anniversary of the HIVE44 was a High Flying Success by W.L. Hodge

The HIVE44 celebrated their first anniversary on May 23, 2013, with 200 quests and members in attendance. Surrounded by supporters, the co-founders of the HIVE44, Cheryl and Don Jaycox, announced the launch of the HIVE44 HUB Business Alliance for business networking and the HIVE44 Academy for business education as their next exciting venture helping promote and support small businesses in the Fenton and St. Louis area. The cofounders thanked those that sponsored the event, Charter Business, BNI Mid-America, Reliance Bank and Referral Institute.

Most of the thanks went to the actual HIVE44 members, whose support and talents are highly appreciated for all their efforts this year. “The members of the HIVE44 are the ones that develop the environment and atmosphere here, for they are the ones that go out and tell others about their great experiences and their increase in productivity and profits. The HIVE44 has become a living entity changing and evolving as new companies become members and as their businesses needs grow.” Cheryl Jaycox stated.

However, that was just the beginning to an awesome celebration and networking event. Newcomer to the catering business, Mary Deckart, of Odells Catering delighted the guest with her caramel corn special recipe, and tantalized their taste buds with her delicious appetizers.

The first networking event in St. Louis to include entertaining the guest with aerial artists, Meg on the hoop and Clare on the ribbons from Bumpershoots Aerial Artist Studio performed spectacular feats as they entertain the attendees hanging from the 18 foot ceilings. “We wanted to express our gratitude to our members and those who had supported us this past year. What better way than networking and socializing to celebrate a high flying successful year?”

The HIVE44 is fast becoming the “place” to have your office or workspace and to meet the professional business owners of St. Louis. Opening last year with two fulltime members and 4 part time members the HIVE44 now houses 18 full time companies and 30 members in varies memberships. When asked each and every one of the members were sold on the idea of coworking at the HIVE44 and could not see themselves working anywhere else. “You couldn’t blast me out of here” said Joel Kirk, Off the Wall Murals. Only positive praise of how since becoming a member their businesses had grown and they were more productive. “In the short time I have been here, the other members are becoming family. Always there to help you, encourage you, keeping you accountable and I begin to miss them when they are not all around” stated Liz Muelkin, Bethco Properties.  Now with the launch of the HIVE44 HUB Alliance and HIVE44 Academy companies have even more reason to become members of the HIVE44 Business Coworking Center.

Who do you know that could benefit from a workspace that inspires its members to grow and succeed?
