Holy Cannoli! Sweet Treats Are Popular at Viviano's Festa Italiano in Fenton

The deli and market sells between 150 and 200 of the Italian pastries filled with Ricotta cheese each week.

Like cannoli? Well, apparently your friends and neighbors do - especially if the sweet treats are created in the kitchen at Viviano's Festa Italiano, 62 Fenton Plaza, Fenton.

The deli and market sells between 150 and 200 of the Italian pastries each week. And that number skyrockets between Thanksgiving and New Year's, when it sells between 3,000 and 4,000 cannoli during that time period.

So what makes Viviano's cannoli so appealing? Owner Michael Viviano said it must be his secret recipe, which, of course, he is not giving out. But he said one ingredient that sets his filled pastries apart from others is Ricotta cheese.

"I've seen them filled with a lot of other ingredients like whipped cream, but they're just not the same," Viviano said.

Viviano's offers a regular-sized cannoli (four inches) for $2.79 and a mini version (two inches) for $1.89.
