New Walmart Adds 80 New Jobs to Local Work Force

Staff members from the existing Walmart store in House Springs were offered positions at the new store.

When the new High Ridge Commons Walmart Supercenter opens May 11 There will be 80 people starting new jobs among the 300 full- and part-time staff members who will run the store, many of whom currently work at the Walmart store in House Springs.

Daniel Morales, a media director for Walmart says all of the House Springs employees were offered positions at the new High Ridge Commons Supercenter, located at High Ridge Boulevard and Highway 30. The House Springs Walmart will close as the new Walmart opens, he said.

The High Ridge Commons Walmart Supercenter will feature 152,492 square feet of retail space. There will be a preview night at the store May 10 as Walmart shows off its new digs. A ribbon-cutting will be at 7:30 a.m. May 11 after which the store will open for business.
