Fit Gym Now Open in Fenton

Feel like working out at 11:30 p.m. or 4 a.m.? Now you have another 24-hour fitness center option in the Fenton-High Ridge area. It's called Fit Gym.

The new gym opened recently at 1177 Gravois Rd. near the intersection of New Sugar Creek Road in Fenton. It offers 24-hour access and bills itself as having one of the St. Louis area's most diverse selections of strength, cardio, athletic performance and functional training/CrossFit options.

Gary Eagen, the gym's general manager, told Patch the gym is not a franchise operation. He said, "The space became available, and it was a gym before and the managers thought it was a good location." 

Fit Gym is holding a grand opening celebration Saturday, April 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests will be able to tour the gym and take part in free workouts and visit health and visit with health and wellness vendors.

Fit Gym is in the former location of Anytime Fitness, which has moved to 7 Dillon Plaza in High Ridge. Anytime Fitness is also a 24-hour access gym.

Anytime Fitness Owner Mike Kaliban told Patch his lease was up at the former location, and since most of the gym's members live in the High Ridge, he thought Dillon Plaza would be a better location.

"It's a newer building, and we've made several upgrades including adding a classroom," he said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the gym on April 19 at 3 p.m. It is being sponsored by the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce. To register for the event, click here.

So with the addition of Fit Gym and Anytime Fitness' new location, the Fenton-High Ridge area now has two 24-hour access gyms. Gold's Gym in Fenton offers 24-hour access, but only on certain days.
