Solar Panels Help Power Northwest High School

The panels will save the Northwest School District at least $500 in energy costs this year.

With the help of solar power, the roof of Northwest High School is producing thousands of killowatts of energy each month.

The school has two sets of paneling, made up of roughly 200 solar panels, according to the Northwest School District website. During the month of July, the panels produced 8,000 kilowatts of power. The school district is set to save at least $500 in energy costs this year, and believe those savings will continue to grow, according to their website.

The panels are leased through StraightUp Solar.
