Wienermobile Stops at Fenton Walmart

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is visiting the St. Louis area this weekend.

The famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile made a visit to Fenton's today, September 9, from noon until 5 p.m. Its drivers handed out exclusive Wienermobile whistles, coupons and took free pictures of kids standing next to the giant hot dog shaped car.

The Wienermobile is in the middle of a 75-city tour in honor of the vehicle's 75th anniversary. The Wienermobile is 27 feet long and weighs 7 tons—or the same as 140,500 hot dogs.

We can thank the residents of Valley Park for the Wienermobile's visit. They won a Facebook contest last year to bring the Wienermobile to their town on its 75th anniversary tour.

The Wienermobile will be in Valley Park on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Meramec Plaza at the corner of Highway 141 and Marshall Road, across from the Valley Park Elevator. The first 300 people to bring two canned food items will receive a free hot dog and soft drink.

The Wienermobile also will also make an appearance at Sunday's Cardinal game from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be parked near Busch Stadium's Gate 5.
