Simba, P.D., Sophia, Gentle Ben Seeking New Homes

Dogs, cats available for adoption from the Open Door Animal Sanctuary.

Simba is a 2-year-old shy guy that loves people, but is very nervous at our shelter surrounded by 80 other cats. He has a friend named Sophia that he grew up with, so he really likes to hang out with her. Simba loves to brushed and petted and is very affectionate. He is a very quiet guy that likes to curl up and sleep the day away. He will play for a bit, but enjoys loving and naps more!

Sophia is a beautiful Lilac Point Siamese. She is about 3 years old and is a very loving cat. Sophia likes to sit in laps, give head butts and adores being petted. She likes to play and even has a favorite toy that we'd send home with her. She can tolerate other cats, but would prefer them to stay away from her. She has a friend, Simba, that she loves and we'd love to see them go home together. If you only have room for one, we'd be OK with that too.

P.D. is a great big ball of love. His initials stand for "Puppy Dog." He's a Black Lab about 7 years old and he weighs in at 125 lbs. That means he needs some room for his big ol' body. He gets along great with other dogs and really loves people. P.D. is already housebroken and walks well on a leash. For an older, bigger guy, he still has quite a bit of energy and would love a family to take him on walks and play with him in the yard.

Gentle Ben is an Aussie/Shepherd mix and is a great dog. He's about 3 years old and just loves everyone. Ben gets along well with other dogs and loves people. He's about 80 lbs. and that makes him kind of scary to smaller children, but he gets along great with them. Just the other day he let a bunch of preschoolers crawl all over him. Ben is housebroken already which just adds to the many reasons you should adopt him.
