Pictures of the Week
A pair of dramatic news photos, as well as a "beautiful" image and a heartwarming firecracker shot.
It's hard not to take a dramatic photo of a big fire. Access and timeliness is the key. The big house explosion and fire in Fenton last week provided a good opportunity to capture the aftermath of the destructive destructive force of the blast and resulting fire. One man was hurt as a result of the explosion and was transported to the hospital.
It was also a dramatic scene in Arnold earlier in the week when a vehicle failed to negotiate a sweeping turn northbound on Jeffco Boulevard and crashed through a chain link fence, overturning in the parking lot for a vacant business. the occupants of the car scrambled to safety and suffered only superficial injuries.
Another dramatic image, this time for a non-emergency reason, is a twilight photo of , 1015 Bowles Ave., Fenton. The hospital was named to a list of the Most Beautiful Hospitals in America where it ranked 9th.
