Olde Towne Pavilion is Newest City Landmark

Located at Old Gravois Road and Old Highway 141, the pavilion is intended to be a multi-purpose facility for groups thoughout Fenton.

There's a new sign at the newest Fenton landmark as the Olde Towne Fenton pavilion is now finished.

While there may be a few minor details to wrap up before it officially can be called complete, the Olde Towne Pavilion is destined to be a meeting place of sorts in the city.

There are several parking spots available around the sturdy, covered pavilion, a structure that some hope could become the site of a farmer's market on eekends. As yet, no organization has proposed such a use, much less stepped up to make sure a farmer's market would be regularly staffed. The City of Fenton prefers to be open-ended about the potential for the pavilion, citing several times that it will be a site for many different events and uses by community organizations seeking an outdoor facility that also provides cover in case of inclement weather.

Perhaps it will be a spot for weekend picnics or even a weekday outdoor lunch.

The pavilion also could become a popular stop on the Meramec Greenway hiking and biking trail, will be undergoing some improvements later this year.
