Feed My People Seeking Volunteers

The group has several positions available at its High Ridge and Lemay locations.

Feed My People is seeking fresh volunteers to join its existing group of volunteers who reach out to those in need from its two locations, one in High Ridge and another in South County.

People are needed in several areas, including:

-- Help Center volunteers, who work with Feed My People clients as receptionists, interviewers, and computer entry staffers.

-- Food Pantry volunteers, who fill orders for clients. Those interested need to be able to stand for long periods and be able to perform minimal lifting of canned goods, produce, dairy and bread items for food sorting.

-- Thrift store volunteers, who are needed in many part-time positions such as sorting, pricing, and displaying donated clothing and other merchandise to sell. There is not much lifting required and work schedules are negotiable, except for cashier positions which require a regular schedule of commitment. "Sub" cashiers can be train to provide assistance and fill in for those who are ill, or during lunches.
