Bike the Meramec Greenway

Get away on two wheels on one of Fenton's best bike trails.

Make your next escape a healthy one by packing up your bike and heading to the Meramec Greenway in Fenton to pedal your troubles away.

The Meramec Greenway is a five-mile bike and hike trail that follows the banks of the Meramec River from Olde Towne Fenton to St. Louis County's  . The trail is flat and paved with beautiful views of the river along a well groomed city park. Click here for a trail map of the Meramec Greenway.

You can park at a trail head underneath Hwy 30, or extend your ride by parking in nearby Fenton City Park. You can add a mile or two to your ride by circling the park, which has a 1.4 mile paved multi-use trail.

This trail is a perfect mini-escape for moms in search of a few hours of alone time out in nature and can be walked as well as pedaled. Or make it a fun afternoon date with your special someone and pack a picnic to share at one of several benches or picnic pavilions along the route.
