Bark Park at Unger Needs Your help to 'Grow' Some Funds for its Dog Park Project

Monsanto sponsored program is aimed at helping non-profit organizations with their projects

Bark Park at Unger has held its fundraisers, done its research and formed several committees aimed at establishing a dog park in St. Louis County's Unger Park in the Fenton area.
Now, organizer Darlys Preslar is hoping everyone will keep its paws crossed that the group will win a grant from Grow St. Louis, a Monsanto initiative aimed at supporting non-profit groups in the St. Louis area by awarding grants of up to $20,000. Preslar says the Bark Park at Unger has been selected as a finalist for a $20,000 prize and it needs everyone's help.
To win the grant, the Bark Park must tally enough votes on the Grow St. Louis Facebook page. Voting begins Monday. To show your support and cast your vote, you'll need to "like" the Grow St. Louis Facebook page and then vote for the Bark Park when voting opens Monday. The voting period runs through May 19.
Preslar and a host of others have been planning for a dog park for several months, including sponsoring a popular event called Woofstock, where dogs and their owners had a taste of the environs inside Unger Park where the dog park will be located.
Winning the grant fro Grow St. Louis would bring completion of Bark Park at Unger that much quicker.
