Big Dogs Looking for Loving Homes

A 2-year-old hound named Remington, weighing 70 pounds, is among the animals available for adoption at Open Door Animal Sanctuary.

Frosty is a good ol' fashioned mutt. When he first arrived, we were told he was a terrier. Now that he's grown up it's apparent that he's something entirely different. This dog is a wonderful choice for anyone wanting something unusual. Frosty is still under a year old and is fully grown, weighing in at 50 lbs. He gets along really well with other dogs and loves to run in the yard with them. He does still need some obedience training, but he's a smart guy and it shouldn't take him long to learn. If you are just in need of a cool dog, come and get Frosty.

Remington is a heck of a dog. This big hound is only 2 years old and weighs roughly 70 lbs. Remington loves to go for walks and enjoys hiking, he's an active guy. He loves to hang out with the other dogs in our yards, but he does not like cats too much. When he catches sight of one, he barks nonstop. Remington does have a hound bark, so if you are not prepared for that, he's not the best choice for you. Remington does still need a little guidance but he is an awesome dog.

Stewart is a great boy that is in need of a great home. He is a big guy that loves to be held and snuggled, he's also very talkative. At 6 years old, he's over that kitten stage and into the laid-back couch potato stage. He is declawed and I know that is a plus for many people. Stewart does get along with other cats except sometimes he wants to be the boss of them. He does a very cute thing when he wants attention, he'll actually stick his paw out and try to pull your hand over to him. This darling cat just needs a family that will love him and cuddle him.

Catrina is a cat that makes everyone say, "No way!" She is 10 years old but still acts like a 2-year-old. She is a very affectionate, very energetic cat. If you need a cat that does not act her age, Catrina is the best choice for you. Catrina gets along very well with other cats, in fact she lives with 80 of them. There really isn't much to say about Catrina other than the fact that she is perfect. If you are looking for a cat, and don't mind an older one, please stop in and see Catrina.
