While an indoor go-kart track in Crestwood remains under construction, they have a holiday treat for prospective customers: a limited run of gift certificates.  Pole Position Raceway is currently constructing a 56,000-square-foot go-kart facility in the former Value City department store on Watson Road. Their battery-operated go-karts, fit for youth and adult riders, can travel up to 45 miles per hour. The track is expected to open in spring 2013. The St. Louis County grand jury indicted a Jefferson County man on Dec. 5 for stealing his father’s pickup truck, while his friend was indicted for stealing the truck and second-degree assault. St. Louis County prosecutors said the two men, Nicholas Doane, 19, of the first block of Wampler in Jefferson County near Arnold, and Anthony Passiglia, Anthony Passiglia, 28, of Arnold, stole Doane’s father’s truck on Oct. 5. Doane’s father used a cell phone app to track the truck to a Kohl’s department store parking lot in Crestwood, where he confronted the two men and demanded his truck back. …
Wednesday, Nov. 14 A 23-year-old St. Louis man was arrested for DWI after he was stopped for a traffic violation at 1069 Jeffco Blvd. He later submitted to a breath test resulting in a .153% BAC. Following booking, he was released to a sober driver. Friday, Nov. 16 An officer investigating a vehicle crash at Highway 141 and Interstate 55 arrested a 54-year-old Arnold man for DWI. The man refused to submit to the chemical breath test. He was held awaiting a sober ride.
