Yamaha Raptor Turns Up Missing While Owner Was Away

The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department

Saline Road, Fenton

A blue Yamaha Raptor 700 4-wheeler turned up missing sometime between Dec. 30 and Jan. 6 from an unsecured shed behind a home on Saline Road in Fenton. The value of the Raptor was set at $4,000.

According to a sheriff's deputy report, the homeowner said he was out of town during the time the Raptor was stolen, and that the keys to the vehicle were still in his house. Deputies canvassed the area but did not turn up any leads

Hillsboro Valley Park Road, High Ridge

A man left his home on Hillsboro Valley Park Road in High Ridge Jan. 7 and returned the next day to discover someone had forced their way into his house and stole copper piping from a water hater and an "A coil" from his furnace, according to the sheriff's deputy report. Water also was discovered running from inside the house and into the street. Entry to the house was made by forcing open a kitchen window. The thief left behind a black hammer and a pair of wire cutters. The value of the stolen property was set at $2,500.
