Where to Buy Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies in Fenton, High Ridge

The fulfillment of America's annual craving for Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies is about to be filled. Thin Mints lead the way in cookie sales for Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM). The familiar mint patties even outsell Oreos, according to the GSEM.

In fact the GSEM says five of the top 10 cookies sold in the United States are Girl Scout Cookies. In addition to Thin Mints the top sellers also include Caramel deLites (also known as Samoas), Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches and Shortbreads (also known as Trefoils).

This year, GSEM is offering a new cookie - the Mango Creme. The tropical treats are vanilla and coconut sandwich cookies with a mango-flavored crème filling. In addition to Mango Crèmes and the other familiar favorites, GSEM is offering Lemonade and Thanks-A-Lot varieties.

Girls Scout typically sell the annual treats door-to-door taking initial orders and sales have already begun. But there are many other opportunities to purchase a box of Girl Scout favorites. Cookie will be delivered beginning Feb. 27. However, for those who didn't order cookies, or who didn't order enough, local cookie booths will be set up in a variety of locations. There will be many opportunities for you to buy cookies this year.

In Fenton and High Ridge, the Girl Scouts from Troops 3626 and 3457 will be staffing booths from 4 to 8 p.m. March 1 at the Schnucks Market at 20 Dillon Plaza in High Ridge; from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Twin Oaks Schnucks Market at 1393 Big Bend Road, Ballwin; and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 2-3 at the Fenton Walmart, 593 Gravois Bluffs Blvd.

The GSEM says the Girl Scout cookie program is the largest girl-led enterprise in the country, engaging girls with five skills they will use throughout their lives, including:

• Decision making
• Money management
• People skills
• Business ethics

Many successful women leaders have said  their first entrepreneurial experience came from selling Girl Scout Cookies, according to the GSEM.

All cookies are sold at $3.50 per package. Proceeds from the program stay within the community to benefit local girls. Troops use the money for everything from field trips to community service projects. With the funds, GSEM also can deliver programs for girls, provide training for adult volunteers and maintain three local Girl Scout camps.

Girl Scouts have been selling cookies for more than 80 years.
