Fenton Burglar Has Sweet Tooth, Construction Tools Stolen in High Ridge

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

 

Lark Drive, High Ridge

A man reported to a sheriff’s deputy that someone forced open the tailgate to his pickup, which had a locked cover, and stole more than $900 worth of tools as the truck was parked in his driveway on Lark Drive. The theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The stolen tools included a Makita circular saw; Dewalt cordless drill, charger, two batteries and drill bits in a black case; a yellow, plastic toolbox with hand tools; two electrical testers; and a toolbox with drills and hole saws.

A deputy reported seeing no damage to the truck.

North Lark Drive, Fenton

A business on North Lark Drive reported a burglary sometime between 12:10 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Monday. Someone entered the business and broke the glass on a vending machine, stealing about $50 worth of candy. The deputy could not determine how the burglar got into the building, but a door might have been left unlocked.
