Open Door's Pet Pals Are Like Pen Pals, Only More Furry

Donations allow unadoptable animals to live out their lives in good hands.

Open Door Animal Sanctuary's Pet Pal program is a great and easy way to give to homeless animals. All of our Pet Pals receive cards, email updates, and holiday pictures of their sponsored animal. A minimum donation of $10 a month goes directly care and upkeep of the homeless animal of your choice. Most of our Pals have little to no chance of being adopted due to age and health issues. Your donation ensures they have the best care possible while they live out their lives here with us. We'd like to introduce you to a few of residents that would love to be your Pal. For more information about our program you can either call Emily or Amanda at 636-671-3643 or you can email cats@odas.org.

Melissa is a great girl with a larger then life personality. She has become the unofficial office manager and makes sure that things go the way she thinks they should. Melissa loves to entertain everyone and makes us laugh on a daily basis. Your donation keeps her fed, vaccinated, and medication for her chronic eye infections.

Eric is a German Shepherd that is an interesting character. He has been with us for several years and everyone loves him. A lot of people have asked about adopting Eric, but they are no longer interested when they find out about all of his joint problems. Your donation helps Eric stay comfortable and pain free while he is with us.

Sierra is a great girl that loves to be held and cuddled. Everyone remarks at just how beautiful she is, and she definitely knows it. Sierra actually has no problems, and she is still a fairly young cat. Sierra is a Pet Pal simply because she doesn't want to go anywhere else. She has been adopted a few times (due to her looks and her personality) but she always acts up so that her new owners bring her back. We are content to let Sierra stay here with us and your donation will go toward her life long care.

Lucy is a very sweet, very shy lady that had a rough life. She is so shy that nobody wants to give her a shot. She does not particularly like strangers and therefore does not show very well. She loves the kennel employees and does really well with life in the kennel. We know that Lucy doesn't have much hope of getting a home, but your donations assure her a great life here with us.
