Money Box Missing From Dresser Drawer Contained $5,100

The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Skytrail Drive, Fenton

Someone stole a money box Nov. 21-22 containing $5,100 (51 $100 bills) from a home on Skytrail Dr., in Fenton. The victim told a sheriff's deputy he left for work at 8 a.m. on Nov. 21 and when he returned at 5:45 p.m. the next day he noticed that his front door was open but it didn't cause him any alarm. The man said he discovered his money box, located in a bedroom drawer to be missing on Nov. 23 and then contacted the sheriff's department. A canvas of the area produced no leads, according to a sheriff's report.

West Four Ridge Road, High Ridge

Copper piping valued at $500 was discovered missing Nov. 29 from a home on West Four Ridge Road, High Ridge. The homeowner reported that someone had forced their way through a basement window sometime between Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 and removed the copper piping. There are no leads in the incident.

Highway PP, High Ridge

Following a traffic stop of a vehicle Dec. 2 at Highway PP and High Ridge Blvd. in High Ridge, a sheriff's department K-9 showed a positive indication of drugs. A deputy conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a scented candle tin attached to the bottom of the vehicle's radiator housing. Inside the tin was a plastic bag containing 326 pills suspected to be pseudoephedrine, four plastic bags of a white powder, a plastic bag containing marijuana and one U.S. dollar bill.
