Man Pays Craigslist Seller With Fake $100 Bills

Weekly incident reports from the St. Louis County Police Department, Fenton Precinct.

 

A Craigslist transaction between two men ended badly Oct. 27 when police arrested the buyer who paid the seller with four fake $100 bills. Fenton Police Officer Aaron Dilks said the men agreed to meet and complete a transaction where a seller was to be paid for four automotive tires. The two men agreed to meet at QuikTrip, 1923 Bowles Ave. Dilks said the buyer paid the seller with the fake $100 bills. He was arrested.

A woman put on a pair of new shoes Oct. 21 at Kohl's, 115 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., and left the store still wearing them, making no effort to pay. She was issued a summons.

A woman loaded her shopping cart full of merchandise Oct. 22 at Walmart, 653 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., then left the store without paying. She was arrested.

Two women concealed perfume, cologne, and clothing in a purse Oct. 22 at Kohl's 115 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., then left the store without paying. Both were arrested.

A woman loaded her shopping cart full of merchandise Oct. 25 at Walmart, 653 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., then left the store without paying. She was arrested.

A woman hid clothing in her purse Oct. 26 at Kohl's, 115 Gravois Bluffs Plaza, and left the store without paying. She was issued a summons.

Someone concealed three E-Reader tablets Oct. 27 at Kohl's, 115 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., then exited the store making no attempt to pay. An investigation is ongoing.

Someone popped the locks Oct. 22 on four vehicles in the parking lot of Gold's Gym, 635 Gravois Road, and stole numerous items. An investigation is ongoing. 

­Someone shattered the window of a vehicle Oct. 26 in the parking lot of the Great Escape Theater and stole several items. An investigation is ongoing.

A recently traded-in vehicle was stolen Oct. 22 off the rear lot of Jim Butler Chevrolet, 759 Gravois Bluffs Blvd. An investigation is ongoing. 

A woman was soliciting for money Oct. 24 inside the lobby of Stratford Inn, 800 South Hwy. Drive. She was issued a summons. 

An unknown suspect popped the locks on 4 vehicles Oct. 21 on the parking lot of Fairfield Inn, 1662 Fenton Business Park Court, and stole numerous items.  Investigation is ongoing. 

An unknown suspect popped the locks on 2 vehicles Oct 21 on two vehicles in the parking lot of the Stratford Inn, 800 south Highway Drive, and stole numerous items.  Investigation is ongoing. 

Two people were fighting Oct. 27 on the parking lot of Hot Shots, 950 South Hwy. Drive.  Both were arrested.
