79 Arrested in Jefferson County Over Thanksgiving Holiday
Crime takes no holiday during the Thanksgiving weekend.

Jefferson County Sheriff Oliver “Glenn” Boyer said in a news release Monday that deputies in the sheriff's department responded to 893 calls for service and made 79 arrests over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The arrests included 12 for domestic violence, 13 for DWI and 12 for driving while revoked. Twenty-five people were arrested on outstanding warrants.

The Thanksgiving holiday reporting period began at 5 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 21, and ended at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
There were no fatal vehicle crashes reported to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office during the period.
