Fenton Man Dies in Car Accident Near Augusta
A 21-year-old Fenton man was pronounced dead after he drove his motorcycle into a car. A 21-year-old Arnold woman sustained moderated injuries in the accident.
A 21-year-old Fenton man died Sunday afternoon while driving his motorcycle along Highway 94 near Augusta.
Duy Khang N. Le was driving westbound on Highway 94 at an excessive rate of speed when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit the side of another car in oncoming traffic, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Le and a 21-year-old woman from Arnold were thrown from the motorcycle. Le was pronounced dead a short time thereafter.
The woman, identified as Jacquelynn Schell, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Washington hospital.
The driver of the second car suffered no injuries, according to the highway patrol.
All persons involved in the accident were wearing safety devices.

this is an inaccurate description of the event. the van was making a left turn onto 94, failing to yield to on coming traffic.

I agree, this story has false information. He was not driving at an excessive rate of speed and did not fail to yield -- he was on the highway and had the right away. That idiot van pulled out in front of him (from what a friend of his told me

Sorry to hear about accident. We're out there a lot to bicycle the Katy Trail at Augusta--Hwy 94 is a narrow twisty road and half the drivers are out sight seeing or hitting wine country.
