Fabick CAT to Expand Fenton Headquarters
The Caterpillar light and heavy construction equipment dealer will add a customer engagement center.
Fabick CAT, the Fenton-based Caterpillar light and heavy construction equipment dealer, will expand its operations on Fabick Drive in Fenton by adding a Customer Engagement Center.
In an announcement by the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce, Fabick General Manager Mike Pospischil said the facility, expected to be completed by late fall 2012, will be a place to conduct all aspects of the Fabick business. The company employs more than 600 workers.
“When finished, the new Customer Engagement Center will have seven to ten corporate offices, a conference room, a balcony, the new merchandise store, a condition monitoring area, the machine oil testing lab, and the new Fabick TV production room,” Pospischil said in the Chamber announcement.
Officials with Fabick CAT have scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony May 7 to kick off the construction on the project.
“This new facility will allow us to ever serve our customers better, a firm belief started by John Fabick Sr. from the very beginning. We want to showcase Fabick CAT, build new relationships, and exceed our customers’ expectations,” Pospischil said.
All facets of Fabick’s business will be conducted in the new addition. It is considered a one-stop shop for new and existing customers, he said.
"Upstairs there is a conference room that we will use to train employees to think like our customers, to take a walk in their shoes. We do this to help us understand their ever-changing needs in the marketplace," Pospischil said. “The conference area will be open to customers, construction businesses, landscaping businesses, and associations. We strive to treat our customers one way and that's first class. This is a place we're going to be proud of, customers will be proud of, and Fenton is going to be proud of."
In making the Fabick announcement Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Jeannie Braun said, "The Chamber of Commerce welcomes the addition and believes that this will bring great things to Fenton’s community and trade industries. On behalf of the 445 members of the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce, I am excited to celebrate Fabick’s expansion and addition of the new Customer Service Center."This construction is a welcome sight for the community as a great start in revitalizing the I-44 corridor. Fabick CAT has been an outstanding supporter of the Chamber for over 40 years as well as a considerable asset to the whole community. Their success is our success.”
