Burglar Grabs TV, Cash, Leaves Gloves Behind

The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
Wellesley Drive, High Ridge
A burglar stole a 32-inch flatscreen TV and $200 in cash Feb. 2 from a home on Wellesley Drive, High Ridge. A sheriff's deputy's report indicated someone entered the home between 11 p.m. and midnight and removed the items, exiting through the front door. A pair of gloves believed to have been used by the burglar, were left behind. The value of the stolen items was set at $600. The incident is still under investigation.
Ridge Point Drive, High Ridge
A man accidentally left his wallet lying on a bench Feb. 6 inside Walmart, 1 Ridge Point Drive, High Ridge. A few minutes later, a woman was seen on video surveillance tape taking the wallet and placing it in her shopping cart. She then left the store and drove off in a white SUV. After a review of the video footage authorities were able to determine the the identity of the woman. Sheriff's deputies contacted the woman at her home and said she admitted taking the wallet, removing $617 in cash from it and leaving it and some credit cards and other personal identification cards in the bathroom of store on Old Sugar Creek Road. All of the property was returned to the victim. The woman was released pending application of warrants.
Duckworth Lane, House Springs
A man placed a handgun under the driver's seat of his father's vehicle Feb. 2 on Duckworth Lane, House Springs, but didn't advise his father that he had done so. When he went to retrieve the gun, described as EAA .38 Special revolver, he discovered it was missing. The value of the revolver was set at $300.
